EFFINOX® - Premium AdBlue® Solution
EFFINOX is GreenChem’s premium AdBlue product—a urea solution (32.5%) with an added reagent, specially designed for diesel vehicles to cut down harmful NOx emissions. It also helps remove and prevent urea deposits in the vehicle’s SCR system during low engine loads. EFFINOX keeps injectors clean for better fuel spray and more efficient operation. This helps the system run at lower temperatures and reduces the risk of crystallization in the SCR system.
It conforms to the purity standards of ISO 22241-1 for AdBlue®.

Why does urea crystallize?
Temperature is key to optimal operation in SCR engines. Some diesel vehicles, equipped with an SCR catalytic converter, are used for work that requires intermittent speed. Tractors, delivery vans, buses or even cars that drive on short journeys and with constant stops, do not always ensure that the chemical reaction between AdBlue and NOx gases is efficient. That is precisely due to the temperature, since they cannot maintain the required 260ºC. If the optimal temperature is not reached, the proper chemical reaction of AdBlue may not occur and, as a result, the urea it contains may crystallize.

What does EFFINOX® do, and why should I use it?
EFFINOX® cleans and protects the SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system from crystal build-up, which can occur under suboptimal conditions (cold temperatures, stop-and-go traffic, excessive idling). Over time, these crystals can clog injectors and catalysts, potentially leading to system faults or even vehicle failure. It works the same as regular AdBlue®, but with added benefits like cleaning and protecting the SCR system.
How quickly will I notice a cleaning effect?
The cleaning effect depends on the level of existing contamination in your SCR system. In some cases, improvements can be noticed immediately. However, because each vehicle has a different degree of build-up, there’s no fixed distance or number of kilometers to expect results.
How often should I use EFFINOX®?
For optimal results, we recommend using EFFINOX® with every AdBlue® refill.
Do I need to clean the system before using EFFINOX®?
No pre-cleaning is required. EFFINOX® works effectively even in systems that already show signs of contamination. In contrast, some alternative products require a pre-cleaned SCR system for best performance.
Which vehicles are compatible with EFFINOX®?
EFFINOX® is suitable for all vehicles that use a urea-based solution (such as AdBlue®) in their emission control systems.

Yes. EFFINOX® has been independently tested by SGS and proven to meet the ISO 22241-1 standard. Unlike some additivated AdBlue® products that use surfactants (which may lower surface tension below ISO limits), EFFINOX® remains fully compliant while still offering advanced clean-up and keep-clean effects.
Is using EFFINOX® instead of regular AdBlue® a problem with VDA or OEM instructions?
No, using EFFINOX® is not a problem. EFFINOX® meets the ISO 22241 standard, which is the main requirement from VDA and car manufacturers.
Do crystals only form with AdBlue®?
Crystal formation is a result of urea chemistry and can occur with any urea solution, not just AdBlue®. EFFINOX® is formulated to mitigate this risk more effectively than standard solutions.
Why doesn't EFFINOX® foam?
EFFINOX® is non-foaming by design. Competing products often contain surfactants that lower surface tension, resulting in foaming. EFFINOX® uses an entirely different approach—based on solvents—so it remains foam-free while delivering strong performance.
