At GreenChem, we believe that clean transport solutions are only as strong as the partnerships behind them. That’s why we’re proud to share the story of Van Leeuwen Container Service (VLCS), a third-generation, family-owned logistics company from Oosterhout, the Netherlands, who found a way to turn recurring technical problems into a success story.
A Family Business Built on Flexibility
Van Leeuwen Container Service is no ordinary logistics provider. With around 60 trucks, 120 swap bodies on the road, and more than 1,100 swap bodies in total, VLCS specializes in volume transport that gives customers the flexibility they need.
Many of their clients—manufacturers of cans, IBCs, insulation, or window frames—use the swap bodies for storage. When products are sold, VLCS takes care of the swap and delivery. With an operating range of about 700 km around Oosterhout and a 6,000 m² warehouse, they’re a trusted partner for customers across the Benelux, Germany, and Northern France.
But even the most efficient operation can be slowed down by unexpected technical issues.

The Challenge: Costly Injector Crystallization
There was a common and frustrating problem that needs addressing: injector crystallization in their trucks’ SCR systems.
The consequences were serious:
- Expensive repairs
- Tow truck callouts
- Unplanned downtime
- Missed opportunities due to standstill
For any transport and logistics businesses, this was a challenge that couldn’t be ignored.
The Solution: Effinox®
In 2019, VLCS began working with GreenChem. The partnership started with something simple: replacing a leaking 5,000-liter bulk tank. But it quickly grew into something much more.
As the partnership grows, GreenChem extend our support on other issues. “After facing lots of problems with crystallization of injectors, resulting in high-cost repairs, tow truck expenses and truck standstill we were informed about this new Effinox product. Within 6 months after first using of Effinox, we faced no problems anymore with the injectors.” — said Van Leeuwen Container Service.

A Small Adjustment for a Big Win
Switching to Effinox® did mean a slight change in operations. Drivers now had to return to homebase for refill, rather than relying on roadside stations, but this is insignificant.
In the first six months, the company used around 45,000 liters of Effinox® and another 5,000 liters of AdBlue® at stations along the road. While this required some rerouting, it was insignificant compared to the huge savings in downtime and repair costs.
Partnership Built on Trust
The product is only half of the story. The other half is the partnership with GreenChem.
“We always look at the complete picture: reaction time, technical know-how, prompt action, good service, and a reliable partner. GreenChem fits them all—and what also helps is that even after six years, we still talk with the same people.”

Quick response times, technical expertise, and continuity of contact have made GreenChem a reliable partner for the long term.
Looking Ahead
Today, Van Leeuwen Container Service runs its fleet without the constant worry of injector failures. They’ve reduced downtime, cut repair costs, and improved the reliability of their operations.
And they don’t just keep the benefits to themselves—VLCS has already recommended Effinox® and GreenChem to other companies in the logistics sector.
Why This Story Matters
For GreenChem, this success shows that the right solution, paired with genuine partnership, can make all the difference. Effinox® proved its value not just in reducing crystallization, but in helping a family-owned logistics company continue its tradition of reliability and service.
✅ Cleaner, more reliable transport. Stronger partnerships. That’s the GreenChem way.
