The AdBlue\u00ae<\/sup> index is based on two sub-indices:
\nA. 40% based on the Urea (Prill) fob Baltic<\/strong> price. This index is calculated based on the monthly CRU report Urea prilled bulk Baltic Average\u2013FOB<\/strong>
\nB. 60% based on the Eurostat Consumer price index<\/strong>. This index is calculated based on the data published on Eurostat site, using the index figures of the month prior to the month published.

The exchange rate EUR \u2013 USD can be found at the website of the ECB<\/strong>: https:\/\/www.ecb.europa.eu\/stats\/exchange\/eurofxref\/html\/eurofxref-graph-gbp.en.html<\/a>. Below you will find a detailed description with an example of how the index is calculated.<\/p>\n

Detailed description with an example of how the AdBlue<\/strong>\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong> index is calculated:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

  1. Urea (Prill) fob Baltic (metric ton)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    CRU Report publishes every week a quotation for Urea prilled bulk prices FOB Baltic High. The monthly index is calculated as follows: take the average monthly US $ from the CRU report, convert it into EUR against the average monthly exchange rate as published by ECB and calculate the monthly index from this quotation.<\/p>\n

    At the end of the first week of the month, the index variation is calculated: this index variation equals the variation between the last known month index divided by the previous one.<\/p>\n

    As an example we calculate the urea index variation per January 1st<\/sup>, 2016:
    \nUrea prilled bulk Baltic fast ports fob average December 2015: 226,16
    \nUrea prilled bulk Baltic fast ports fob average November 2015: 239,60
    \nUrea index variation for January 2016 Q1: (226,16 \u2013 239,60) \/ 239,60 = -5,61%<\/p>\n

    Ad B. Eurostat Consumer price index<\/strong><\/p>\n

    At https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eurostat\/tgm\/table.do?tab=table&init=1&language=en&pcode=teicp000&plugin=1<\/a>,  you can find the indexation in the Euro area (19 countries).<\/p>\n

    \nConsumer price index variation for January 2016: (100,19 \u2013 100,34) \/ 100,34 = -0,15%<\/p>\n

    Price update per January 1st<\/sup>, 2016:
    \n40% of Urea index variation: 40% of -5,61% = -2,24%
    \n60% of Consumer price index variation: 60% of -0,15 % = -0,09%<\/p>\n
