On se kemijski formira hidrolizom automobilske uree, koja je glavna sirovina za AdBlue\u00ae. Urea se tako\u0111er koristi u proizvodnji gnojiva i mnogim drugim primjenama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AdBlue\u00ae se koristi kod dizelskih motora koji koriste SCR tehnologiju. Ova tehnologija (selektivna kataliti\u010dka redukcija) smanjuje \u0161tetne emisije (NOx). AdBlue\u00ae se ubrizgava u katalizator SCR sustava, gdje pokre\u0107e kemijsku reakciju s amonijakom. Ova kemijska reakcija pretvara otrovne du\u0161ikove okside (NOx) u du\u0161ik (N2) i vodenu paru (H2O).
