Se emplea principalmente&nbsp;en los motores di\u00e9sel y, fuera de Europa, tambi\u00e9n es&nbsp;conocido como DEF, ARLA 32 o AUS 32.<\/p>\n<p>El principal componente activo de AdBlue<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> es el amon\u00edaco.&nbsp;Est\u00e1 formado qu\u00edmicamente por urea hidrolizada para autom\u00f3viles,&nbsp;que es la materia prima principal de AdBlue<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>. La&nbsp;urea tambi\u00e9n se utiliza en la producci\u00f3n de fertilizantes y en&nbsp;muchas otras aplicaciones.<\/p>\n<p>AdBlue<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> se emplea en motores di\u00e9sel con tecnolog\u00eda SCR,&nbsp;(reducci\u00f3n catal\u00edtica selectiva), la cual reduce las emisiones&nbsp;perjudiciales (NOx).<\/p>\n<p>El producto se inyecta en el catalizador del sistema SCR,&nbsp;donde produce una reacci\u00f3n qu\u00edmica tras mezclarse con el&nbsp;amon\u00edaco.
